light+building 2012
The 2012 edition of the light+building fair in Frankfurt starts this week. From the 15th to the 20th of April more than 2000 exhibitors will show their products throughout the 11 halls of the exhibition centre.
light+building is without no doubt the most important international fair for lighting and building automation and as expected KNX will play a great roll and have a major presence in the event:
· More than 100 KNX manufacturers will show their products
· 2 stands from the KNX Association
· KNX City
· KNX Press Conference
· KNX TOP Event
· KNX Championship
The KNX manufacturers come to the light+building fair not only to show their current product range but also to introduce their new developments which will become a reality along the year. For this reason light+building has a huge impact within the KNX integrators, becoming the ideal opportunity to get to know those solutions that will be available in the next years.
In case any of you won’t have the privilege to attend this fair, Futurasmus will compile the most interesting news from the different manufacturers and will provide you with this information as soon as possible.

2010 edition of the International KNX Web Site
The 2010 edition of the International KNX Web Site contest is over and we are quite satisfied: the participating sites, from many different countries, were mostly very worthy and some of them rather impressive.
We also thank manufacturers ELSNER, ARCUS and IDDERO for their contribution to make the contest more appealing with the extra prices. But, most important, we are particularly happy with the participation of our web users, who have helped choose the best web site with their many votes from all around the world.
Another goal was also achieved: the partaking web sites have registered an increase in their visits during the duration of the contest and we are very happy about that.
And these are the official winners:
- 1st Place: www.eib-home.de, Germany (gift voucher of 2000 € for KNX components)
- Most Original Web Site: www.haupt.pl, Poland (DMX GATEWAY from ARCUS)
- Web Site with Best Design: www.alternologik.com, Spain (KNX SUNTRACER GPS Weather Station from ELSNER)
As you all know, we also sponsored a draw among the users who gave the maximum score to the web site that has eventually won (EIB Home). The winner of the gift voucher of 500 € for KNX components is Mr. Holger Schult, from the Company HSEG in Germany.
But there are also many things than can be improved and that is what we will do next year! So, keep on working on your web sites because we will be waiting for you in 2011 with more prices!
