Application and Functionality


The KNX-DMX Gateway is unidirectional, receives data telegrams on the KNX bus and transmits the data onto the DMX512 bus. The interface allows the DMX512 actuators to communicate via the KNX bus using the full range of the channel.
The KNX-DMX Gateway contains 8 adjustable sequence positions within the whole channel range. Individual scenes with all 512 channels can be saved and retrieved using KNX group addresses. This function allows all channels to be connected simultaneously to one single object without causing any undo load on the KNX bus.

The KNX Sensor Global Radiation SK08-GLBS-MES is a sensor / controller from the S8 product series which measures global radiation ( the sum at the point of measurement of both the direct and diffuse components of solar irradiance ). The sensor / controller has an offset sensor element which

measures global irradiance in a horizontal position.

The device has an integrated KNX bus coupler and does not require additional voltage.

The transducer is located in a high-strength, extremely robust stable impact ABS plastic housing. Cover and base have a revolving groove and tongue system with neoprene gasket. The housing is IP65.

In the application software a separate controller ( 2-position or PI controller with continuous or pulsed output ) is available for every channel.

The KNX Sensor Water Quality SK08-WAQ is a sensor/controller from the series S8 used for recording and controlling water parameters: phvalue,redox potential and water temperature. The sensor/controller has two high impedance BNC inputs for connecting a single-rod measuring cell for pH value and redox potential. The inputs are galvanically separated from the KNX bus so that no ground loop can occur. The SK08-WAQ has an integrated KNX bus coupler and does not require additional voltage. The transducer with the bus coupler is enclosed in a durable, sealed, glass ball-reinforced plastic casing which fulfills protection degree IP65. Additionally two inputs for dry contacts are available.

Arcus-EDS offers a set of electrodes from the manufacturer Hanna; electrodes of all other makes and applications may also be used.

In the application software there are several controllers (two-position or PI controller with continuous or pulsed output) for measuring the pH value and redox potential. Additional functions include the display of upper and lower thresholds and switching between the set point and threshold.

The sensor records the time period from the last calibration and can be used as an alarm function should the threshold be exceeded. The sensor is calibrated via the KNX bus using two calibration functions. In general, the pH-value probe is set up as a two-position calibration and the redox potential as a one-position calibration.

The M-bus gateway is a Master for M-Bus Systems according to the DIN 13757-2/3. The Master can supply and service up to
3 M-Bus devices. There are 16 M-Bus data points available, which can be assigned freely to the different devices.

KNX Sensor Soil Humidity / Temperature, SK08-BFT

The KNX Sensor Soil Humidity/Temperature SK08-BFT is a sensor/controller from the series SK08-xxx for recording the soil humidity and the soil temperature. The sensor/controller is equipped with an external sensor device which is inserted into the ground at the area to be measured. The SK08-BFT has an integrated KNX bus coupler and does not require additional voltage. The transducer with the bus coupler is enclosed in a durable, sealed, glass ball-reinforced plastic casing which fulfills protection degree IP65.

In the application software there are several controllers (two-position or PI controller with continuous or pulsed output) for measuring the pH value and redox potential. Additional functions include the display of upper and lower thresholds and switching between the set point and threshold.

The sensor is configured with ETS (KNX Tool Software) and the application program. Controlling functions such as signal threshold and other adjustments are parameterized using ETS.
